What this website collects, why, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Information you send us
Our contact, consultation, RFP and newsletter forms collect what you type into them: typically your name, organization, email address, telephone number, the nature of your request, and anything you write in a free-text field. With each submission we also record the time, the page it came from, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string, which we keep for security and to help limit automated abuse.
We use this information to respond to you, to scope and deliver work you ask about, and, if you subscribed, to send the security brief. We do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an unrelated inquiry.
Where it goes
A submission is stored on our web hosting provider’s server, in a location that is not reachable from the web, and is delivered by email to the Swif7Edge inbox on Microsoft 365. Access is limited to Swif7Edge staff who need it to respond. Our hosting provider and Microsoft process this information on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
To limit automated abuse we also keep a record of the IP addresses that recently submitted a form, used to enforce a limit of a few submissions per hour. Our server keeps a security log of form activity, including submissions and blocked attempts, which records the IP address, browser and time but not the contents of your message.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and the general region and device type they use. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to distinguish visits and processes your IP address to do so. Google provides this service under its own privacy policy. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and the site works the same without them.
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address. Pages are delivered through a content delivery network that also processes your IP address to serve and protect the site.
Google Analytics is configured with Google signals and ad personalization turned off. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
Retention
Inquiry records are kept for as long as needed to respond and to meet legal and contractual record-keeping obligations, then deleted. Subscription records are kept until you ask to be removed. The security log is kept for security and troubleshooting.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, through the contact form. You can ask to be removed from the security brief at any time through the same form.
Client engagement data
Information handled during a client engagement, such as assessment findings, forensic images and system documentation, is governed by the engagement agreement and the non-disclosure terms attached to it, not by this website policy. That material is held under minimum-necessary access, encrypted at rest and in transit, and destroyed on the schedule agreed in the engagement terms.

If we change how this site handles information, we will update this page and the date above.
